The
band 'Shades' as we were called was quite a popular group around the
clubs of the Medway Towns. Our music was mainly popular stuff
from the 60's to the present day. Quite a wide selection.
We had Roger, an excellent lead guitarist, and John who is a wizard
on the keyboard and who also is a fine guitarist. I was trusted
with the lead vocals and 12 string guitar.

We
have all been playing in various groups for about three decades
altogether, so there was quite a bit of experience between us.
Perhaps it was the right time to stop inflicting ourselves onto the public!
We
now meet up every other week for a pint, and chat about old times
like the silly ol' gits we are! |

What a night. I never expected it
to go so well. Being a 'silly ol' git', my confidence was duly
restored. Enjoyed it so much, that I would quite happily play
for a pint! Well, almost. |
